How Blue Ribbon Socials Limited handles personal data submitted through this website.
In short: this website collects personal data only when you choose to send an enquiry. That information is used to reply to you and nothing else. It is not sold, and it is not used for marketing lists.
Who we are
BLUE RIBBON SOCIALS LIMITED is the data controller for personal data submitted through blueribbon-socials.co.uk. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16921121, with a registered office at 2 The Haven Hambledon Road, Denmead, Waterlooville, England, PO7 6ER.
For any question about this policy or about your personal data, email [email protected].
What we collect
We collect the information you type into the enquiry form or include in an email. Depending on what you choose to complete, that may include:
- Your name and email address
- Your business or organisation name, and a website address if you provide one
- Details of the social platforms you use, including profile links
- The services you are interested in, your marketing goals and timeframe
- Any advertising budget range you choose to indicate
- The content of your message
Only your name, email address and message are required. Every other field is optional, and leaving a field blank does not affect whether your enquiry is answered.
We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send, special category data such as health information, or any payment card details.
Why we use it
We use the information you send in order to:
- Read and understand your enquiry
- Reply to you, ask follow-up questions and discuss possible scope of work
- Keep a record of the enquiry and our correspondence about it
- Meet our own legal and accounting obligations where an engagement follows
We do not add enquiry details to a marketing list, and we do not send unsolicited marketing. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Lawful basis
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you have sent us. You would reasonably expect a reply to a message you have chosen to send.
- Performance of a contract — where an enquiry becomes agreed work, to carry out and administer that work.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain records, for example for tax and accounting purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Your information may be processed by the service providers we rely on to run the business, such as our email provider and website hosting. These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own data protection obligations.
Where an enquiry proceeds to work involving a social or advertising platform, any use of that platform is subject to the platform's own terms and privacy policies, and any access granted to a platform account remains under your control.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to establish or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept while they remain useful for context and are then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes agreed work, correspondence and records are retained for the duration of that work and afterwards for as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time; see your rights below.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Enquiry information is held in business email and business systems protected by access controls. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the enquiry form.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no overriding reason to keep it
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information
- Object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests
- Request portability of information you provided to us
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics or social tracking pixels. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page and the "last updated" date will be amended. Material changes affecting how we use information already provided will be explained on this page.
